Where it all began. Our Butler Street bar opened in July 2009 and helped set the tone for specialty coffee in Pittsburgh — espresso pulled by hand, milk poured with intention, and regulars greeted by name.

The cafe
Lower Lawrenceville is where Espresso a Mano started, and the Butler Street bar is still the heart of what we do. It's an espresso bar in the true sense — a long counter, a steady rhythm of shots and steamed milk, and baristas who care as much about the conversation as the cup.
Come for a classic cappuccino with the latte art we're known for, a single-origin espresso from our own roastery, or one of our handmade syrup lattes. Locally baked pastries are in the case every morning.
